Installous on Iphone OS 3.0 with Icy
Many of you guys are having problems during installation of installous. Although hackulo.us Repository is overloaded and causing errors, cydia is having problems also in iPhone OS 3.0. If you are receiving errors like below
- size mismatch ....
- Hash Sum ....
- iphoneguide.nl ...
- Cannot find executable
You can install Icy and continue installation from there. Icy is another application works like cydia but faster and more lightweight compared to cydia. Here are the steps to install Icy then Installous on the Iphone OS 3.0
- Launch Cydia
- Go to "Manage" then tap "Sources"
- Tap "Edit"
- Tap "Add"
- Type in http://apt.ripdev.com and Tap "Add Source"
- Search and Install "Icy"
- Go to Home screen and Launch "Icy"
- Tap "Sources" at the bottom
- Again Tap "Edit" then "Add"
- Type in http://cydia.hackulo.us and Tap "Add"
- Tap "Refresh" on top left
- Go to "Categories"
- Search for "Installous" and Install it

Hi,
i tried to install installous through ICY but it says Package “unzip” was not found, please help me i need to know how to install it, i tried through Cydia it gives me size mismatch

I get the message “Package unzip cannot be installed (DPKG returned error #2). More information can probably be found in the console log. Pls help. Thanks!

For all those who are getting “mismatch size” error. Try installin one free app from itunes-really solves problem

ive installed but keeps asking for password

i added the source to icy, and no matter what, it couldnt find installous, refreshed sources, deleted all sources except cydia.hackulo.us, restarted. Any ideas?

package “com.ericassadun.utilities” was not found. most likely you need to add a source that contains it.

I tried intalling every step of the way but I cannot find appsync 3.0 in my Repo directory. Only 3.1 and aboove appear. Any suggestions?

Man i have a iphone 2g iOS 3.0 and not worck …when i do add source …tell me ,, did not Find Repository” and let me just do OK…. what its 4 do … PLS help me
